Brew Test #1
Now that the base hardware has been built, see PimpMyBrew.com for details, the first thermal load test is now in operation.
We are running a 20 litre carboy of water, maintaining 22° C +/- 0.1°C.
Here is the live graph of the progress.
Blue line is the Internal Heat Sink temp and the red is the ambient temp.
The Blue line getting closer to the Red line means that the cabinet is not running and that the Thermal Load is at temperature.
In the coming weeks we will be adding the following sensors to the hardware;
- External Heat Sink Temp
- Internal Cabinet Temp
- Wort Temp
That will give us 5 different temp readings.
In addition to the Temp Readings we will be logging a few actions as well;
- Door Open Event
- Door Close Event
- Heat Start Event
- Heat Stop Event
- Cool Start Event
- Cool Stop Event
This is the start of a happy brewing season.
